Lollipops

At Happy Days School, we know that every moment with your infant is precious. That’s why we do everything possible to bond with your baby by rocking, cuddling, feeding, reading and playing with your baby. Through simple games like peek-a-boo, singing songs and reading stories, our loving teachers begin the foundational work needed for your infants growth and development in the following areas: language, cognitive function, motor skills, and sensory.

Sunbeams

Children who are 2 to 3 years old are opening their eyes to the larger world around them. They want to explore, take things apart and put them back together. They want to be independent in everything they do. Our teachers help them to accomplish the goals of being inventors, discovers, dreamers, artists and having fun. The teachers do this by planning appropriate activities in the following areas: Motor skills development — outdoor games, dancing, movement Language development — recognizing and forming letters, story time, speech Sensory development — textures, understanding the senses, descriptive activities Imaginative development — arts and crafts, dramatic play, storytelling Social development — large and small group activities, sharing, politeness These things are all part of the ABEKA curriculum where the teacher facilitates the childs’ learning. Through out the year they will learn about God’s world while developing language skills with the help of many animal friends. He will learn to count from 1-25 and recognize numbers 1-10. Coloring, painting, and gluing will help develop manual skills. Stories, poetry, and music will aid in the development of comprehension, language, and thinking skills. At meal times our 2 year olds eat family style and learn how to set the table and serve themselves. Once a week your child will participate in Stretch-n-grow. A program that promotes health and fitness.
